· Requirements:
o Education - Most of these occupations require graduate school. For example, they may require a master's degree, and some require a Ph.D., M.D., or J.D. (law degree).
o Training - Employees may need some on-the-job training, but most of these occupations assume that the person will already have the required skills, knowledge, work-related experience, and/or training.
o Experience - Extensive skill, knowledge, and experience are needed for these occupations. Many require more than five years of experience. For example, surgeons must complete four years of college and an additional five to seven years of specialized medical training to be able to do their job.

· My Skills and Interests:
o Being in a lot of pain myself, I can sympathize with those in agony and will be able to take it all away from injecting strong pain medication.
o I know the procedure of the injection and what you have to do after the surgery or medical procedure. In this case, you have to monitor the patients before, during, and after the procedure. We all know that complications may arise.
o I’m interested in the medicine industry, especially the occupations to deal with pain.
o I have seen how it is done from relatives being in the hospital for medical procedures and surgeries.

· Plan to reach career goal:
o Bachelor’s degree: Hawaii Pacific University
o Intern at a hospital in Honolulu, Hawaii (near the university)
§ Examples: Leahi Hospital, Maluhia Hospital, or Kapi’olani Hospital
o Get a part time job somewhere in the medial industry for medical experience
o Go to college for graduate school and obtain a master’s degree
